ICT Fiesta (23-25th Nov 07)
This exhibition and PC Fair was jointly organised by Sabah State Government through the State IT Advancement Unit,
Ministry of Resource Development and IT Advencement together with Sabah Computer Society. Over 40 booths,
with participation from IT, government, telco, and sectors, were showcasting their latest products and services.

The Sabah State Government through the State IT Advancement Unit under the Ministry of Resource Development
and Information Technology has declared the month of November 2007 as the ICT month for the state of Sabah.
Various events have been lined up including free ICT Talks on technologies such as network, open source, digital camera,
printers, GIS, GPS, and security.

This 2-day seminar gives the participants with an understanding of system development and the best practices.
Over 20 participants were guided in designing and developing and performing the audit, plan testing and document
control.

With the theme of "Together We Progress", this event is intended to provide the participants with a sneak preview of
the government steps and initiatives in line with its efforts to promote a resilient IT industry in Sabah.
Nearly 100 participants, from private IT and government sectors, were having a dialogue
with YB Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, Minister of Resource Development and IT, Mr Bruno Vun,
Director of Unit Kemajuan IT (KIT), and Mr. Taitim Tulas, President of SCS, at Wisma Bandaraya,
to gain mutual understanding and support on development of ICT industry in Sabah.
